Job Description Summary
The Dublin EHS Manager is responsible for leading, managing, and executing EHS strategy and programs across the campus located in Dublin, Ireland. Leadership from this position will ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations along with effective risk management. This individual will manage and lead EHS improvements across the site supporting manufacturing, engineering, and development activities as part of a high-performing leadership team.
Essential Functions
Primary site contact with all external Regulatory Agencies & Auditors (Health & Safety Authority, Environmental Protection Agency, EHS&S Auditors and Certification Agencies, etc.) ensuring a good and effective working relationship is always maintained.
1. Serve as a part of site leadership teams to ensure EHS issues, systems, and concerns have a voice in strategy and decision making.
2. Actively foster an ethos and culture of safety awareness, where safety is accepted as an integral part of the overall business.
3. Manage, implement, and monitor environmental, health & safety programs to ensure compliance with all applicable government regulations and company standards and policies.
4. Develop EHS objectives for the site - auditing, analyzing, documenting, and reporting on their implementation and effectiveness to site management.
5. Develop and champion all KPIs that impact EHS.
6. Drive EHS continuous improvement initiatives.
7. Act as ESG Site Champion.
8. Assist in the development and implementation of the site's Environmental Sustainability Transformation by collating and reviewing data, providing guidance on environmental sustainability practices, facilitating social responsibility initiatives, and ensuring compliance with governance standards.
9. Perform incident management activities including investigations (RCA’s).
10. Design, implement, and lead emergency plans and response capabilities for the site.
11. Manage compliance for contractor management EHS activities.
12. Lead and manage site EHS permitting activity to ensure full compliance with local regulatory requirements.
13. Maintain necessary EHS documentation in the form of data, reports, permits, policies, procedures, and other written and electronic information necessary to maintain full compliance with applicable regulations and company policy.
14. Manage governance of life safety fire and property risk management programs.
15. Support and lead key strategic site projects as a project manager (EHS, Engineering, Process Safety related projects).
16. Provide leadership and guidance to key stakeholders on Process Safety related topics.
17. Review plans and specifications for new equipment and participate in the management of change assessments.
18. Work closely with Operations, Engineering, and Quality to promote safe manufacturing practices, procedures, and proper use of containment equipment and facilities.
19. Manage and perform EHS hazard assessments including industrial hygiene monitoring and make recommendations to control hazards.
20. Develop, implement, and maintain training programs for EHS.
21. Stay abreast of new EHS government regulations as they are promulgated as well as new developments in the industry.
22. Maintain effective stock control of EHS consumables.
23. Manage the EHS department operating and capital budget within agreed targets and contribute to the annual preparation of these budgets.
Minimum Requirements
Education / Experience / Skills:
Knowledge and understanding of environment, health, and safety compliance reporting.

2. Ability to make effective oral presentations and work as part of a team.
3. To be a strategic thinker with a strong influential communication style together with the natural ability to develop cross-functional relationships.
4. Proficiency in organizing, communication, problem solving, multitasking, and collaborating with others.
5. Bachelor’s degree in engineering related discipline, such as Environmental Engineering, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
6. 10 or more years’ experience in a process safety or EHS related role with no less than 2 years of leadership experience.
