Job Description
Responsibilities:
* Manage and oversee all people investigations at the site.
* Conduct investigations into formal grievances raised by staff, including bullying, harassment, and discrimination.
* Work with global Staff Relations teams and legal teams to manage Code of Conduct compliant investigations.
* Respond to legal letters received from external lawyers on behalf of staff.
* Manage disciplinary investigations, ensuring processes and documentation are compliant with legal procedures.
* Advise leaders on correct process and procedures for dealing with grievance and disciplinary investigations.
* Coordinate union meetings and actions.
* Develop and maintain company policies and procedures related to these matters.
* Partner with external legal counsel and the legal team on complex cases.
* Collaborate with Occupational Health on managing long-term absence or LOA cases.
* Work with company insurers on applications for long-term disability.
* Advise leaders on performance management cases and establishing formal PIPs.
* Provide guidance on GDPR and Data Privacy questions arising from business leaders or the security team.
Requirements
* University degree in Human Resources, Law, Business, or similar field.
* Experience in HR, focusing on employment law, HR policies, and managing investigations.
* Previous experience supporting formal investigations at a site level.
* Knowledge of developing HR policies in line with changes to employment law.
* Understanding of working in a unionized environment.
* Business acumen and subject matter expertise.
