FT provides design and contract management services for the construction of infrastructure projects such as roads, greenways, bridgeworks, rail, solid waste facilities, renewable energy, drainage, water and wastewater treatment facilities, airports, tunnels and gas pipelines.
FT is seeking to recruit a Graduate Civil/Structural Design Engineer to join our Sustainable Infrastructure team in our Cork, Dublin or Carlow office.
The post will suit candidates with a Civil or Structural Engineering Degree keen to apply their professional skills and gain experience in a busy and dynamic civil, structural and environmental engineering practice.
FT's ResponsibilitiesCivil engineering design including roads, highways, greenways, active travel, car parking and sustainable stormwater drainage designStructural design including retaining wall and bridge designPlanning and managing CAD documentation, working closely with CAD TechniciansWorking closely with other Engineers and GraduatesAttend onsite meetings with the client and other professionalsEnsure projects are delivered to the timescales, quality and costs agreed with the clientEnsure compliance with our Quality Assurance and Management SystemsEnsure compliance with the relevant Health and Safety legislationSkills / QualificationsDegree in Civil or Structural EngineeringInterested in working towards Chartered Engineer statusExperienced in the civil or structural design of Infrastructure projectsFamiliarity with AutoCADWorking knowledge of civil design softwareExperience working in a Consulting Engineering or similar companyExcellent communication, management, analytical and organisational skills requiredExperience working and co-ordinating with technical specialists and engineersEfficient work methods, functioning both as part of team and on own initiativeExperience organising and delivering complex tasks involving multiple parties within a short timeframeThe ability to adopt and work to new procedures and systems quicklyMust be prepared to travel to site visits and client meetingsFull Drivers LicenceAn attractive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate.
