**Job Title:** IT Specialist
Location: Sligo, Ireland
The company is a world-leading pharmaceutical manufacturing organization seeking an experienced IT Specialist to join their team at their site in Sligo. This is an initial temporary 6-month contract with the possibility of extension.
This role involves providing technical support and administration for IT Systems across the site. The Specialist will ensure continuous technical solution support, maintaining high service availability for manufacturing, laboratory, and other supporting functions.
Your Responsibilities:
1. Provide ongoing support for manufacturing and laboratory systems, including system maintenance and data backups.
2. Lead IT projects related to manufacturing systems and applications.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive initiatives and site-wide projects.
4. Evaluate and ensure adherence to all corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
5. Implement and periodically review and update IT policies.
6. Conduct validation and qualification for hardware and software systems.
7. Develop and deliver training to employees on relevant IT systems and applications.
8. Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement improvements.
9. Support Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) policies and procedures.
Your Education & Experience:
* A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
* A minimum of 3 years of relevant IT experience is essential.
* At least 1 year of experience in IT system/application support within a manufacturing environment.
* Demonstrated strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* High attention to detail and accuracy.
