Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a Pharmaceutical organization based in Carlow. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to work with a leading multinational company that excels in its field.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Ensure all Planned Maintenance and Calibration tasks are completed on schedule.
* Collaborate with equipment owners and other departments, particularly Quality, EHS, Technical Operations, to achieve best practice outputs.
* Work under the guidance of Coaches and Maintenance Sustaining Engineers to apply lean tools to process data and complete improvements.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Managing process/equipment improvements through project completion as required.
* Delivering training while focusing on continuous process improvement using Lean Principles.
* Troubleshooting equipment problems and identifying the need for new equipment or modifications to existing equipment to optimize throughput and reduce process cycle times.
* Serving as the point-of-contact for new equipment and/or modifications to existing equipment.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing support with audit/inspection requirements to ensure department compliance/readiness.
* Participating in internal and external audits and inspections.
* Driving continuous improvement, performing root cause analysis on system failures, and resolving machine and system issues.
This role requires:
* A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a related Science, Engineering, or Technical discipline.
* Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a maintenance engineer/engineering role within a maintenance/engineering organization of a manufacturing facility (preferably GMP).
* Knowledge of regulatory/code requirements to Irish, European, and International Codes, Standards, and Practices.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
* Knowledge of sterile filling processes and equipment.
* Familiarity with Autoclaves, Washers, SKIDS, Vessels is an advantage.
* Knowledge of cGMP and GDP preferred.
