About The Function
Global Data Governance is responsible for managing policies, maintaining and improving processes, and communicating and training Circana employees and clients on the use of retailer and consumer data. Data Governance works across commercial, product, operations, technology and legal teams to set best practice controls protecting the permissible use of retailer data and ensuring proper internal practices are followed.
What will you be doing?
The Data Governance Analyst reports to the Global Data Governance Lead. You will work closely with the Data Governance Lead to set the direction for the data governance function and support data governance efforts. A key part of your role will be to develop and maintain data audit tools that will monitor and ensure compliance to our Data Governance policies. In addition, you will work closely with Operations teams to launch scoping tool enhancements that will streamline internal approval processes.
Job Responsibilities
* Manage intake and execute new requests for audits to ensure compliance and address ad-hoc needs.
* Coordinate risk identification and process improvement opportunities with the Data Governance team to ensure that mitigation plans are executed.
* Work closely with Operations to ensure that Data Governance changes are executed properly and in a timely manner.
* Lead execution of UDB tool enhancement including testing, troubleshooting and working closely with Client Service teams to ensure successful launch.
* Collect and maintain clear documentation for Retailer Pre-approvals. Develop a process to renew or remove access as approvals expire.
Requirements
* Proven experience in statistics or data analytics.
* Experienced Analyst with strong knowledge of internal processes including Operations and Client Service.
* Data expert with strong knowledge of Business Intelligence Suite (Power BI).
* Excited about building and improving cross-functional process between Commercial, Operations, Product teams.
* Ability and willingness to work closely with the team and follow specific processes.
* Ability to interpret modelling results into business insights.
* Fluency in verbal and written English is essential.
* Eager to learn and grow and have a positive attitude.
* Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree a plus.
