Fineco AM started with 5 employees and has grown rapidly over the past 3 years with a headcount currently sitting at 50 FTEs and growing quickly (half of our headcount was hired during the pandemic period).The RoleAssisting with the execution and implementation of tradesContributing to monthly reporting tasks, including portfolio positioning, performance analysis, and risk reportingQuantitative research and analysis, including:Developing and testing systematic investment strategiesPerforming statistical analysis on asset pricing, portfolio risk, and return attributionsEvaluating historical market data and backtesting trading signalsImplementing and enhancing data models and forecasting techniquesSupporting the automation of data collection, cleaning, and processing for investment decision-makingAssisting in the development of proprietary quant models and analytical toolsWorking with large financial datasets to identify trends, inefficiencies, and potential trading opportunitiesContributing to process improvements and efficiency enhancements by automating manual workflows and optimising modelsSkills & Qualifications:Strong analytical skills with high attention to detailAbility to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge of Python and/or SQL (or willingness to learn) for data analysis and automationA keen interest in financial markets, investments, and quantitative financeStrong problem-solving skills and a desire to learnAbility to take initiative and work independently when requiredA team player who collaborates effectively with colleaguesPrior experience (internships or up to 1-2 years) in investment management, trading, or financial data analysis is advantageous but not essential
