Base pay range
Base Salary for this role is circa 90,000-110,000 euro (possibly some more flex on base salary) and OTE is circa 180,000-200,000- and this is attainable- and comes with pension, health, hybrid working model.
Candidates with a sales background; ideally 3-5 years in a sales leadership role-a key requirement is proven experience of sales teams delivering under your leadership- and you must be able to travel to UK/ Europe throughout the year; Travel will account for 10-15% of the role.
To be considered for this role, you must be eligible to live/work in Ireland and be able to travel to UK/ Europe.
My Client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Director to join our leadership team. The Sales Director will be responsible for overseeing the revenue-generating operations of the company. The Sales Director will collaborate closely with the executive leadership to design and implement strategies that maximise revenue across all channels, products, and markets.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Strategy and Leadership
* Develop and execute the company’s overall revenue growth strategy ensuring alignment with corporate goals and strategy.
* Oversee all revenue-generating departments (Sales, Customer Success, Business Development) and ensure cross-collaboration with the Marketing Team.
* Identify new market opportunities and growth areas for revenue expansion.
* Lead pricing, positioning, and go-to-market strategies to optimise revenue streams.
* Set Key performance indicators (KPIs) and targets for revenue, profitability, and market share growth.
Sales, Business Development and Marketing alignment
* Build on the current structure, create and manage the sales strategy, including lead generation, pipeline management, deal closing, and long-term customer retention.
* Foster a customer performance-driven culture by developing and optimizing the sales organization structure and process.
* Build and scale sales teams with a focus on revenue growth in new and existing markets.
* Drive partnerships and alliances that contribute to revenue growth and negotiate high-value contracts with key customers and partners.
* Work with the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to ensure that the marketing strategy is aligned with sales efforts and business objectives to create cohesive demand generation campaigns.
* Analyse customer data to drive decisions that enhance market segmentation, product positioning, and revenue outcomes.
Customer Success and Retention and Financial Management
* Drive customer success initiatives that improve the customer experience, increase customer lifetime value (CLTV), and reduce stagnant customers and churn.
* Collaborate with the customer success team to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, growth, and long-term client relationships.
* Develop revenue retention strategies, focusing on upselling and cross-selling.
* Work with the Finance Team to establish revenue targets, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
* Monitor performance against financial goals, identifying risks, opportunities, and corrective measures as needed.
* Ensure effective pricing models that reflect market conditions and drive profitability.
Requirements and skillset
* Minimum of 3-5 years of sales leadership experience in revenue-generating roles.
* Proven track record of driving revenue growth in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience managing sales teams and collaborating across multiple business functions.
* Experience in developing pricing strategies, market analysis, and go-to-market planning.
* Previous experience with scaling a business in both domestic and international markets is highly desirable.
* Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and ability to think and act like a leader is a pre-requisite.
* Strong analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills and have the ability to navigate complex business environments and make data-driven decisions.
* Tech-savvy with experience in CRM systems, analytic tools, and emerging sales technologies.
