About the Role
The Product Operations team is looking for a passionate, self-motivated and hard-working Senior Buyer to be part of a diverse, dynamic and high-energy Supply Chain team. You will report directly to the Materials Manager and will have responsibilities for a range of commodities and reporting processes.
Main Responsibilities
* Coordinate the purchase order placement with suppliers, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and other related functions.
* E nsure supplier performance and delivery commitments are met.
* Handle logistical issues among partner manufacturers/suppliers and Apple.
* Engage directly with global supply managers to confirm component and commodity pricing.
* Support site-to-site material transfers.
* Drive end-of-life (EOL) management, eliminating excess and obsolete material.
* Manage the monthly reserves process and dispositions.
* Provide regular forecasting to the supply base.
* Ensure all purchase orders align with correct pricing and interact closely with cross-functional teams to resolve invoice issues.
* Support daily shortage processes.
* You will support new product introduction (NPI) activities across various programs.
* Drive process improvement.
Requirements
* Meaningful experience in a supply chain role in a global technology manufacturing operation.
* Experienced SAP user.
* Strong data analysis and numeric skills to identify trends and business opportunities.
Preferred Qualifications
* Formal qualification in supply chain management or procurement would be an advantage.
* Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships across an organization.
* Strong communication and presentation abilities, written and verbal, to all levels of an organization.
