We’re looking to recruit a Finance ERP Implementation Analyst on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.
Working under the direction of the ERP Project Manager and the Finance Implementation lead, you will be responsible for successfully implementing the strategies for the financial modules for the new ERP system. You will ensure financial workflows that follow best practices for internal controls and mirror workflows identified in the current policies and procedures.
This role involves supporting and coordinating internal and external architecture, and technical teams to ensure a smooth implementation and transition to the new ERP. You will assist with training and implementation. Our energy client is undertaking an enterprise-wide transformation enabled partly through the implementation of a new Utilities ERP solution based on MS Dynamic’s 365. The transformation involves replacing 4 separate systems operating across different energy types in different jurisdictions to a consolidated platform. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in planning, coordinating, and reporting on key activities within this multimillion euro software deployment project. You will interact with different project stakeholders daily to gather updates and work with the project management team to oversee the delivery of phases (analysis, design, implementation, testing, go-live & maintenance). This role is crucial in ensuring smooth project operations and timely delivery of tasks within the set budget and scope.
Responsibilities
System Implementation
* Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure successful project delivery.
* Ensure that workflows incorporate key financial controls as identified in policies and procedures.
* Work closely with internal and external finance and technical teams and evaluate how system changes will affect workflow, data, and reporting. Recommend changes based on evaluations and input.
* Identify a key group of core users who will transition data from the old system to the new. Ensure that data to be converted is sound before the transition and ensure that balances that move from the old system to the new agreement.
* Determine how cash balances and other balance sheet items should be accounted for into the new system.
* Research design problems as they arise and propose solutions.
* Develop and track project requirements with the implementation teams.
* Develop and track project phasing and schedule with the implementation teams.
* Document, communicate and manage changes that surface during design and implementation.
* Communicate, in close collaboration with the ERP Project Manager and Finance Implementation lead, project status at scheduled meetings and serve as a central source of project information.
* Manage, in close collaboration with the ERP Project Manager and Finance Implementation lead, the day-to-day aspects of training and testing of the Finance modules before launch.
Reporting and Documentation
* Work with key finance leads to identify all types of reporting that will be needed from the new system. Then, develop these reports using the ERP report writer tools, with supporting dashboards as required.
* Develop job aids so different types of users can perform reports.
* Train on report writing.
* Develop accurate documentation of the finance modules of the system.
* Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Key Skills Required for the role
* Knowledge and understanding of accounting in an energy company preferred but not required.
* Demonstrated hands-on knowledge of accounting software and processes from simple, QuickBooks/Sage, to more complex systems such as Oracle/SAP, preferably with an understanding of the complexities of multi-currency, multi-site, and multi-organizational implementations.
* Strong competency in Microsoft Office package.
* Good communication skills.
* Good interpersonal communication and relationship building skills.
* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
* Attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving approach is required.
* Fluency in English and effective communication skills are required.
Qualifications & Experience
* Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a minimum of 8 years’ experience.
* Experience in finance preferred.
* Advanced skills in Microsoft Office package, particularly Excel.
* Understanding energy markets (sales & wholesale) and associated retail products is desirable but not essential.
* Finance experience implementing ERP system project (desirable but not essential).

* Strong attention to detail & can manage documentation and reporting with high levels of accuracy.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong problem-solving skills & can use own initiative.
* Familiarity with project management methodologies and best practices.
* Experience with project management tools desirable (e.g. MS Project, DevOps, Trello, Asana, or similar).
* Proficiency with Office365 essential (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
