Process Development Technician (Contracting)

Position Overview:
Our client, a leading medical device company, is seeking a Process Development Technician on a contract basis. This role will be a combination of cleanroom and lab-based activities, focusing on the setup of equipment and testing of products to support the development of new medical devices. The successful candidate will work closely with a cross-functional team and be integral to the introduction of a new product at the site.
Key Responsibilities:
* Cleanroom Activities:
o Set up and prepare equipment (including new equipment) in the cleanroom environment in preparation for product builds.
o Ensure compliance with all cleanroom protocols and safety regulations.
o Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of equipment in the cleanroom area.
* Lab-Based Activities:
o Conduct product testing to gather data and insights to support decision-making on the project.
o Perform testing and analysis to ensure products meet quality and regulatory standards.
* Documentation and Reporting:
o Tabulate test results and data to provide actionable insights for the team.
o Prepare calibration and tooling qualification documents for equipment used in the development process.
o Maintain accurate and thorough records in line with company policies and industry standards.
* Team Collaboration:
o Work collaboratively with various departments and teams to ensure smooth project execution.
o Communicate effectively across teams to gather information, address challenges, and make data-driven decisions.
* Product Development Support:
o Support the introduction of a new product to the site, contributing to the overall project goals and timelines.
o Assist with troubleshooting issues in both the cleanroom and lab environments.
Key Qualifications:
* Educational Background:
o Degree or Diploma in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Life Sciences, or related disciplines).
* Experience:
o Previous experience working in a cleanroom environment, ideally within the medical device or pharmaceutical industries.
o Experience with product testing, data analysis, and equipment setup.
o Knowledge of calibration and tooling qualification processes.
* Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in lab testing equipment and cleanroom protocols.
o Familiarity with data analysis tools and software.
o Experience with preparing and maintaining technical documentation.
* Soft Skills:
o Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across different functions.
o Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
o Good problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach.
