Facilities Engineer Role
Apleona is seeking a highly experienced Facilities Engineer to join our team in Limerick, Ireland.
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled engineer with a strong background in facilities management and maintenance. The ideal candidate will have experience in updating drawings, ensuring contract compliance, and managing projects from start to finish.
Main Responsibilities:
* Update drawings across various sites to ensure contract compliance, involving site visits to verify accuracy.
* Ensure project engineering work is completed in a compliant manner, with regards to execution and documentation.
* Develop detailed project specifications, drawings, procedures, tender documents, and more.
* Prepare capital expenditure requests, cost estimates, and monitor project spend to maintain budget control.
* Manage the installation, commissioning, and validation of equipment as required.
* Supervise contractors associated with project work, ensuring smooth progress and quality delivery.
* Support renovations, upgrades, and maintenance of existing facilities, prioritizing safety and efficiency.
* Maintain up-to-date drawings and project programs, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
* Deliver projects on time, within budget, meeting client quality standards, and incorporating required functionality.
* Monitor and manage costs, aiming to reduce subcontractor expenses through effective cost control.
* Oversee the facilities budget, ensuring compliance with financial forecasting processes.
* Lead energy management initiatives on site, identifying opportunities for energy reduction and promoting awareness programs.
* Coordinate office moves, desk allocations, and space management, streamlining operations.
* Review and sign off plant drawing change requests, maintaining regulatory compliance.
* Manage site Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), driving performance improvement.
* Assist with operational maintenance activities as necessary, providing support to the team.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent qualification.
* At least two years of experience in an engineering environment, preferably in a related industry.
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to make decisive actions.
* Dynamic approach to achieving continuous improvement, with self-motivation and leadership capabilities.
