Job Overview:
BrookLodge & Macreddin Village is seeking a friendly and professional Hotel Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a smooth experience from check-in to check-out. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, customer service experience, and a strong passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
* Warmly welcome guests upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression of the hotel.
* Manage guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently while providing relevant information about their stay and hotel amenities.
* Assist guests with inquiries, special requests, and any issues that arise during their stay, exceeding expectations whenever possible.
* Maintain a thorough knowledge of hotel services, room availability, and pricing to provide accurate information to guests.
* Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure guest needs are met and rooms are prepared to high standards.
* Process payments, manage cash and credit transactions, and maintain accurate guest records following hotel procedures.
* Provide guests with local area information and recommend activities, dining options, and attractions to enhance their stay.
* Keep the reception area clean, well-organized, and welcoming at all times.
* Promptly respond to guest feedback and address concerns or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications:
* Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in hospitality.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and deliver exceptional service.
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
* Proficiency in hotel reservation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* A friendly, proactive, and customer-focused attitude with a passion for hospitality.
* Availability to work midweek and weekend shifts, including evenings as required.
