As an integral part of its strategy for growth, Benson & Associates’ client is seeking to appoint a Senior Solicitor to play a key role in driving the Corporate/Commercial department forward. The Department is led by a senior partner supported by two junior solicitors and a highly experienced Company Secretarial manager.A long established and highly respected Dublin based legal practice, providing the full suite of commercial advice to companies, businesses owners, shareholders and employees.The firm’s success is due to its stated ambition to exceed client expectations coupled with the ability to think beyond the conventional to achieve balanced, pragmatic solutions.Supported by a team of young, dynamic lawyers, the practice remains agile and responsive and continues to develop its international practice forged with law firms overseas.QualificationsAt least 4 years’ post qualification experience in the Republic of Ireland with significant expertise in most areas of Corporate and Commercial law to include Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Restructuring and Shareholder Agreements.More senior candidates with the prerequisite expertise will also be considered alongside the possibility of a part-time/hybrid arrangement. Practitioners from other jurisdictions may also be considered, dependent upon experience.Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe ability to work closely with all colleagues is essential coupled with a willingness to supervise junior members of the team.From time to time, you may be asked to assist with non-fee earning tasks on an administrative level.An interest in actively marketing the firm’s services to potential clients is desirable but not essential. It is expected however that the successful candidate will be alive to business development opportunities as and when they present themselves.Personal Skills and AttributesThe competence and confidence to work autonomously subject to “light touch” partner oversight.A friendly personality with excellent verbal and written communication.A collaborative team player with a problem solving approach and a superior work ethic.Salary and BenefitsMinimum of €85k p.a. depending upon experience.
