Director (Two Posts)
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is an independent regulatory body responsible for protecting, improving and restoring the environment through regulation, scientific knowledge and collaboration with others.
As a director, you will report to the Director General and have a dual role as a Board Member and Executive responsible for leading one of the EPA's offices.
We have two upcoming vacancies:
* Director of the Office of Communications and Corporate Services
* Director of the Office of Radiation Protection and Environmental Monitoring
Office of Communication and Corporate Services (OCCS)
The OCCS office supports the EPA's 550 staff members by providing various services, including human resource management, learning and development, health safety and welfare, facilities management, financial management, corporate governance, communications, and information & communication technology.
Office of Radiation Protection and Environmental Monitoring (ORM)
The ORM has a wide range of functions across areas including air, water, radiation, noise, chemicals, nuclear safety & emergency preparedness, Strategic Environmental Assessment and State of Environment Reporting. It also regulates Uisce Éireann's environmental aspects and oversees water services enforcement.
Essential Requirements
* An appropriate qualification (minimum NFQ Level 8) in Science, Engineering or another relevant discipline.
* Significant knowledge/experience in relation to environmental and/or radiological protection matters.
* A minimum of 10 years relevant work experience, including at least 5 years of senior management experience with a proven track record of significant achievement as a leader and senior manager in a medium or large-sized organisation.
We offer a competitive salary of €120,000 - €150,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
