Dietitian - Wexford - Part-time
On behalf of our client, we are currently recruiting for a Dietitian for Wexford. This is a part-time permanent position at 17.5 hours, split into 2 days or 2.5 days, etc. - flexible. Salary above is pro rata from the full-time role.
Description
This role involves clinically and professionally managing the nutritional care and dietetic requirements of our patients diagnosed with renal failure in collaboration with our Clinical Nurse Managers in our clinic in Wexford. Managing the nutritional care of patients with End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) requires complex dietary manipulation to achieve outcomes that support maximizing the patients' medical and nutritional status and avoiding nutrition-related complications/disease progression.
Qualifications Required
1. B.Sc. Human Nutrition and Dietetics recognized by the Department of Health
2. Diploma in Dietetics and Nutrition from Dublin Institute of Technology/BDA Renal Course or equivalent
3. Or qualification equivalent to (a) and (b) as above
4. Candidates with qualifications from outside of the Republic of Ireland must provide evidence that qualifications have been validated by the Dept of Health.
5. Be Registered or Eligible for registration with CORU as a Dietitian
6. Proficiency in the English language is mandatory
Experience Required
1-2 years post-graduate relevant work experience in dietetics.
Professional Knowledge
It would be advantageous to have knowledge of renal dietetics and renal replacement therapies. Provide evidence of ongoing continuous professional development.
