This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative and progressive Irish hotel group, The MHL Hotel Collection.
We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Restaurant Host/Hostess for our exclusive Pullman Restaurant at the Glenlo Abbey Hotel & Estate (part of the MHL Hotel Collection).
The Pullman Restaurant is Galway's most unique dining experience. Diners take a step back in time aboard the Orient Express, which comprises of 2 original carriages from the Orient Express, beautifully restored without losing any of their original character and set on the grounds of the hotel with views of the golf course, Lough Corrib.
Role Overview:
As a Host/Hostess in The Pullman, you will be the welcoming face of our famous and unique restaurant. Your warming personality and attention to detail will ensure our guests have an exceptional and delightful experience from the moment they arrive until they depart.
Key Responsibilities:
* Greet and welcome guests with a friendly and professional demeanor.
* Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently, follow up confirmations and maximize seating arrangements/table plans.
* Provide guests with information about our menu, special dietary options, and seasonal offerings.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing reception area.
* Anticipate and respond promptly to guest inquiries and needs.
* Work closely with the service team to ensure a smooth and enjoyable dining experience, relaying guests communications.
* Uphold the highest standards of health, safety, and hygiene.
* Handle guest feedback and concerns with grace and efficiency, ensuring a positive resolution.
* Receive payments and handle cash.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a similar role within a high-end hospitality environment.
* Exceptional customer service skills with a genuine passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
* Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
* A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards.
