Your New Role
As a Financial Accountant, you will report directly to the Finance Manager and be responsible for providing meaningful financial information on the business.
* Statutory Reporting: Reviewing external audit files and preparing annual UK statutory accounts.
* Reviewing VAT returns, Intrastat, EC Sales List, and other external reporting.
* Reviewing annual tax pack information for the Group.
* Participating in technical accounting discussions and preparing associated documentation.
* Ensuring all reporting is completed in line with group and statutory deadlines.
Balance Sheet
Conducting monthly analytical reviews of the business unit balance sheet.
* Performing detailed monthly reviews of balance sheet reconciliations completed by the Belfast team.
* Developing appropriate working capital targets, plans, and reporting for AP and AR.
Other Responsibilities
Actively contributing to the development of the finance function and its staff. Taking personal responsibility for health and safety. Complying with the company's health and safety and environmental protection arrangements.
Performing any other duties as reasonably required by your line manager.
Requirements
A fully qualified accountant trained ideally within a Big 4 environment. Experience of managing people. Highly developed numeracy and analytical skills with a questioning mindset.
