On behalf of our client, a growing Medical Devices company, we are currently recruiting for an Electronic Engineer.
The company aims to expand its engineering department to work on hardware development for medical device products involving neuromodulation, wireless communications, and physiological sensing technologies. The role also supports product design validation and production process validation activities.

Reporting to: VP of Global Operations/Senior Engineer
Key Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with the Product Development Team to design, develop, build, and test current and next-generation medical devices.
2. Support product development from concept to post-production.
3. Participate in circuit prototyping, liaising with prototyping service providers.
4. Engage in product testing, including electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), wireless coexistence, safety, reliability validation, and performance testing.
5. Assist in design and technology transfer from development to manufacturing, working with manufacturing and quality stakeholders.
6. Support manufacturing operations to optimize processes and meet production goals.
7. Develop and validate custom PCBA test equipment for neuromodulation products.
8. Analyze hardware failures from the field and participate in corrective actions.
9. Perform design activities using CAD software such as Spice, Altium, and Matlab.
10. Apply engineering principles to analyze and solve complex problems.
Qualifications / Skills / Attributes
* BSc in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or similar, with 3+ years' experience in medical device product development or manufacturing.
* Fundamental knowledge of digital and low-noise analog electronics.
* Experience with C and C++, embedded hardware, microcontrollers, and interfaces like Bluetooth and UART.
* Experience liaising with PCB fabricators and PCBA vendors, understanding IPC standards for SMT.
* Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools.
* Understanding of quality management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 13485) and FDA regulations (21 CFR part 820, EU MDR).
* Strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and self-motivation skills.
* Experience developing test methods and conducting product testing.
* Excellent planning, organization, and multitasking abilities.
* Effective at presenting ideas clearly across all levels.
* Leadership and change management skills.
* Knowledge of risk management (FMEA, ISO 14971).
* Experience with DFT and DFM principles.
Desirable Skills and Knowledge
* Experience in regulated industries like medical devices or electro-acoustics.
* Attention to detail and quality commitment.
* Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
* Understanding of Lean principles and continuous improvement.
* Experience with EMC standards (Radio Equipment Directive, FCC) and safety standards (IEC 60601, IEC 61050, IEC 60065).
* Proficiency in statistical software such as R, STATA, or Matlab.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Willingness to travel internationally.
