RecruitNet International Ltd is hiring an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) for a Hospital in Co Cork, Ireland.
Responsibilities To be a highly competent, knowledgeable practitioner in the care of the elderly.
To participate in the Management Team actively.
Maintain a high standard of professional and ethical conduct.
To manage the development of the overall service plan and review the service against the plans.
To assist with the direction and supervision of the nursing service to provide a high level of resident care and management.
To provide innovative and effective leadership, support, and advice to nursing and allied staff at all levels.
To guide all staff in the implementation of Centre policies Ensure nursing staff adheres to standards and guidelines relating to professional nursing practice and behaviour The involvement in discussions on the provision of services.
To undertake other relevant duties as may be determined from time to time by the Director of Nursing Requirements Possess complete registration with the Irish Nursing and Midwifery Board.
Must have at least three years of post-registration experience caring for elderly patients during the preceding six years.
Must have at least three years of managerial experience in health and social care.
Possess or be prepared to get a post-registration management qualification in health or a similar sector.
While not required, a further diploma in gerontology or a management degree is preferred.
Exhibit excellent leadership abilities.
