O'Brien Fine Foods is an Irish family business based in Timahoe, Co. Kildare. First established in 2000, the business has expanded over the years to become the leading producer of cooked meats on the island of Ireland, with a growing presence in the UK. We employ over 700 people and specialise in the manufacture and marketing of premium meats, supplying both branded and private label ranges to retailers across Ireland and the UK from our three manufacturing sites in Timahoe Co. Kildare, Rathowen Co. Westmeath, and Leytonstone in London. Our branded portfolio includes Brady Family, a household name and Ireland's No. 1 cooked meats brand, Green Farm, Ireland's No 1 white meat brand and Bearfields of London, a traditional ham and gammon business in the UK. We now have a vacancy for a Night Hygiene Manager.
Job purpose
To Lead, Manage & develop the Hygiene team to deliver an efficient and effective workplace, where safety & hygiene are core performance parameters. To continually develop the team and encourage the team to continually strive to reduce same.
Duties and responsibilities

3. Hygiene - Oversee the Cleaning Documentation System.
4. Cost - Water and chemical usage is monitored.
5. Environment - 0 Listeria counts.
6. People - Maintain staff levels and reduce turnover.
Working conditions
The job requires continual presence throughout all areas. Given the nature of the business, the work areas must be maintained under refrigerated conditions so please ensure that you dress appropriately.
Physical requirements
The work in some areas can be physically demanding & it will be necessary to stand for extended periods of time, lift heavy objects on a regular basis & do repetitive tasks. Job rotation, manual handling techniques and observing rest periods are of vast importance.
