Field Service Engineer
Location: Bray, Co. Wicklow (covering Ireland and Northern Ireland)
Salary: £45k circa + bonus, with van, fuel card, mobile phone, and laptop provided
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a motivated Field Service Engineer to join our team, a leading Irish supplier of medical, surgical, and electrosurgical equipment. With over 50 years of experience in the healthcare sector, we serve more than 100 public and private hospitals across the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with a well-established and highly regarded company, where full manufacturer training will be provided to the successful candidate.
The Role:
As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a vital role in maintaining and supporting critical medical equipment. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and provide excellent customer support across a range of hospitals. The equipment you will work with includes:
HD Camera Systems and related equipment
Diathermy/Electrosurgery units and Argon Plasma Coagulation units
Warm-air patient warming units
Surgical Laser units
Patient couches and ancillary accessories
Key Responsibilities:
Perform planned preventative maintenance on the above equipment.
Attend reactive breakdown callouts and complete necessary repairs.
Install and commission new equipment.
Conduct bench repairs in the workshop.
Provide technical support to customers and the sales team.
Travel to hospital sites across Ireland and Northern Ireland, with occasional overnight stays.
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience maintaining medical equipment is advantageous but not essential.
Electromechanical field service engineering experience is essential.
Strong communication and customer liaison skills.
Qualification in Electromechanical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
Full EU/Irish driving license is required.
