Reporting To: Director of Nursing / Head of Finance

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Accounts Administrator to manage the financial operations of our nursing home. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Sage Accounting Software and a solid background in financial administration. This role involves processing invoices, payroll, and resident billing while ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, reconcile supplier statements, and ensure timely payments.
* Resident Billing: Prepare and issue invoices for residents' care fees, liaise with families and funding bodies regarding payments.
* Bank Reconciliations: Maintain accurate bank records and perform regular reconciliations.
* Payroll Processing: Manage staff wages, deductions, and payroll queries.
* Budget & Cash Flow Management: Assist in monitoring budgets and managing cash flow.
* Compliance & Audit: Ensure financial transactions comply with regulations and assist with audits.
* General Administration: Maintain accurate records, support the finance team, and perform ad-hoc tasks as required.
Requirements & Qualifications:
* Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting/finance role, preferably in a healthcare or nursing home setting.
* Software Knowledge: Proficiency in Sage Accounting is essential.
* Education: A qualification in accounting, finance, or a related field is desirable.
* Skills:
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Experience working within the healthcare or nursing home sector.
