The successful candidate will join a team responsible for Ongoing Due Diligence and Transaction Monitoring. In the role, the successful candidate will:Conduct Ongoing Due Diligence reviews on customers, including High Risk, PEP's and CorporatesTransaction Monitoring: Review Alerts to identify indicators of Fraud, AML, Terrorist Financing and other high-risk indicators.Become expert in internal and external systems to ensure all monitoring and screening activities are effectively documented in compliance with internal standards and regulatory expectationsAnalyse customer transactions with reference to their risk profile and history to determine reasonable basis for potentially suspicious transactionsAssess screening alerts for political exposure and sanctionsDocument alert assessments in line with procedures and escalate suspicious transactions and PEP/sanction alertsPrepare first draft narratives on SAR/STR's for reporting to FIU and revenueComplete all reviews in line with Davy standards and KPI'sSupport colleagues in the second line of defence in responding to FIU and Revenue queriesAssist in the development of AML procedures across the first line of defenceRequirementsAbout youWe are looking for somebody who has the following background and skills:Bachelor's degree in law, business, finance, or accounting preferred or Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) or similar Compliance diploma or accreditationAt least 2+ years' experience in ODD or transaction monitoring and screening for financial crimes preferably in an investment firm or other financial institutionKnowledge of financial crime methods - Smurfing, Money in/out, Insider Trading and Market AbuseGood knowledge of the Criminal Justice Act obligations and CBI Guidelines relating to reporting of potentially suspicious activityStrong analytical skills with a strong attention to detail, and a direct experience escalating high-risk issues to managementExcellent oral and written communication skillsSelf-motivated with the ability to work in a small teamWhat We OfferWe offer a range of benefits and experiences to support your professional and personal growth, whatever your career stage.
