In-House Counsel Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced legal professional to provide expert guidance and ensure legal compliance across high-impact projects. The ideal candidate has a background in small-to-medium practice, broad expertise across multiple sectors, and strong organizational and communication skills.
Key responsibilities include employment law, data protection, risk and compliance management, commercial property, mergers & acquisitions, and advising on key agreements.
This is a unique opportunity for someone who is confident working independently, adept at managing a varied workload, and skilled at delivering practical legal solutions aligned with business objectives.
Responsibilities:
* Employment Law: Advising on day-to-day HR and employment-related matters, drafting and reviewing contracts, policies, and correspondence, and delivering training on employment law topics.
* Data Protection: Ensuring compliance with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR, overseeing and advising on data protection governance frameworks, conducting audits and assessments to mitigate risks.
* Risk and Compliance Management: Managing risk registers and ensuring best practices in compliance, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements, supporting business acceptance, conflicts, and professional ethics compliance.
* Commercial Property: Advising on property transactions, leases, and regulatory compliance.
* Mergers & Acquisitions: Leading legal due diligence and advising on key agreements such as share purchase and joint venture agreements.
