Job Title: Environmental, Health & Safety Manager
Job Purpose: The Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager will lead the EHS function for the Arrabawn Group, driving compliance and continuous improvement in process, culture, and behaviours.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement an EHS strategy for the Arrabawn Group, providing leadership to ensure the highest standard of EHS performance is achieved and sustained.
* Manage and support the EHS team, overseeing the effective implementation of the sites' EHS Management Systems to ensure legal compliance and continuous improvement while maintaining ISO Standards.
* Manage budget, deliver continuous monitoring, auditing, and reporting on EHS performance to enable senior management to allocate suitable resources and plan business safety objectives.
* Overssee regulatory compliance with Industrial Emissions Licence (IEL) and GHG permits, implementing processes and systems to reduce environmental impacts.
* Plan, develop, and coordinate the company's EHS risk management programme, providing ongoing briefings on EHS impacts within the business.
* Support management in developing and implementing safe operating procedures, managing emergency response procedures, and supporting external audits and inspections.
* Use key performance indicators to monitor and report to senior management on safety and environmental performance.
* Support project managers in planning and delivering construction and upgrade projects safely, developing health promotion programmes, and providing support to safety representatives and committees.
Requirements:
* EHS qualification to QQI level 8 or above.
* Knowledgeable about current Irish legislation.
* Experience managing an EHS Management System, with a minimum of 4 years post-qualification experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
* Experience managing IPPC/IEL licences and familiarity with wastewater treatment principles.
* Strong understanding of Irish environmental, health, and safety regulations, standards, and industry practices.
* Proven cultural and behavioural change experience.
* Ability to influence at all levels in the organisation and work on own initiative with minimal direction.
Salary: Based on experience and qualifications, estimated to be around €60,000 - €80,000 per annum.
