Maintenance Technician (Days + On-Call) Medical Devices
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our busy manufacturing team. The role involves maintaining and improving the efficiency and reliability of equipment and systems, responding to breakdowns, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct periodic maintenance on equipment, systems, and installations, ensuring minimal downtime.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly during breakdowns.
* Install and maintain components, cabling, and panels as required.
* Plan, schedule, and oversee maintenance tasks to ensure production efficiency.
* Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to optimise processes.
* Supervise and coordinate external contractors on various projects.
* Support TPM and Lean initiatives to improve operational performance.
* Maintain records, manage spare parts, and ensure stock levels.
About You:
* A trade qualification (e.g., mechanical, electrical, or similar) is required.
* Hands-on experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across mechanical and electrical systems.
* Experience with CNC machines, robotics, and pneumatics is an advantage.
* Familiarity with TPM, Lean methodologies, and maintenance planning.
* Good communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
