Job Description
The role of Final Test Technician involves setting up and testing systems and sub-assemblies according to test specifications. This includes performing inspection operations on sub-assemblies, modules, and systems using engineering drawings, schematics, flow diagrams, and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
* Setting up and testing systems and sub-assemblies against test specifications.
* Performing inspection operations on sub-assemblies, modules, and systems.
* Preparing samples, reagents, and diluents for chemical testing.
* Establishing causes of malfunction and non-conformance in electrical, hydraulic, and chemical operation of systems and modules.
* Checking each system against branch orders to ensure customer requirements are met.
* Assisting Engineering in the initial installation and verification of new test procedures, equipment, and products.
* Designing test fixtures and modules inspection/test procedures and preliminary system test/inspection procedures.
* Completing and maintaining paperwork, test data, and quality control records.
* Overseeing and checking repair work to ensure faults are corrected and specifications are met.
* Working with quality control procedures and observing safety rules and regulations.
* Training personnel on unfamiliar systems or modules.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
To be eligible for this position, candidates must hold a third-level qualification in Engineering (Degree, Diploma, or QQI Level 6 Certificate) and have at least two years' experience in a similar manufacturing environment. Excellent PC skills and ability to train new personnel are also essential.
