At the heart of Pfizer’s Digital hosting and application development strategy sits the Cloud and Network Security Services (CNSS) organization. Enabling all manner of digital infrastructure and cloud development capabilities, these services and products permeate across Pfizer influencing business outcomes and providing value to our business, shareholders, and patients every day. Pfizer is currently on a journey to deepen and extend our use of Cloud Security in AWS, Azure, and GCP. The Cloud Security AI Engineer role will collaborate with a team of security cloud engineers, developers, and product specialists with the goal of building security capabilities for all of Pfizer to consume.
The Cloud Security AI Engineer role provides entry level technical and design experience and will be key in safeguarding Pfizer Systems and Data. The role will have ownership in setting up a secure, compliant, productive, and innovative cloud hosting environment. The role will bring entry level experience in designing robust security protocols, security guard rails and responding to security incidents. This role will work directly with Pfizer Cloud Engineering, Global Information Security and Pfizer Digital consumers in delivering Industrial best practices for Cloud Security.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
1. Collaborate with a cross-functional team focused on security engineering and service development, while establishing and maintaining internal engineering and development standards.
2. Bring knowledge in Amazon, Azure and GCP cloud services with demonstrable infrastructure design experience.
3. Identify potential vulnerabilities in AI cloud environments and develop robust security protocols.
4. Collaborate with cloud engineers, developers, and product teams to build native cloud security capabilities for Pfizer.
5. Create modern cloud design patterns and help drive consumption of reusable patterns through partnership with creation centers.
6. Design, develop, and implement AI models and algorithms security controls, visibility and alerting.
7. Keep abreast of new AI security controls, solutions and services and their applicability to Pfizer’s cloud deployment.
8. Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members on AI-related initiatives.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, a related field or equivalent experience.
2. 3+ years’ experience developing and/or maintaining cloud security controls.
3. Knowledge of public and private cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
4. Knowledge and experience in Artificial intelligence security controls.
5. Experience in developing native cloud security controls such as Azure policy definitions, AWS service control Policy.
6. Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, node.js and rego.
7. Over 1 year of experience in AI, machine learning, and large language models (LLMs).
8. Excellent problem-solving skills, strategic thinking, and strong business acumen.
9. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
NICE TO HAVE:
1. Certifications in cybersecurity, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Cloud Specific Certifications (i.e AWS cloud practitioner, Azure AZ-900).
2. Experience with cloud security and understanding of relevant technologies and practices.
3. Experience in deploying AI security guardrails.
4. Demonstrated ability to stay current with the latest developments in cybersecurity threats and trends.
5. Experience with security in DevOps and Agile environments.
