Maintenance Excellence Planner
The Maintenance Excellence Planner will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our engineering function. This key position is responsible for assisting engineering personnel in meeting business demands and production targets.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership and execution of the Maintenance Planning program for site equipment and utilities.
* Support Plant support engineers with planning and preparing equipment maintenance, ensuring necessary tools, materials, and EHS-related permits are available.
* Implement programs and procedures to guarantee compliant plant maintenance.
* Monitor plant equipment and system operations.
* Maintain a maintenance management system for tracking work orders, spare parts, and maintenance history of plant equipment.
* Track, analyze, and improve key Maintenance Excellence Program (MEP) KPIs, including asset utilization, maintenance cost, site maintenance compliance, schedule, etc.
* Ensure sufficient inventories of spare parts and maintenance supplies, and initiate reordering when necessary.
* Maintain adherence to company safety standards, policies, and procedures.
* Proficient use of Computer Management Maintenance system (Maximo).
* Manage departmental purchasing to reduce costs and add value.
* Manage the Engineering Change Control process to prevent non-conformances related to engineering change control.
* Foster strong partnerships with the EHS function to prioritize staff and contractor safety on site.
* Participate constructively as a team member, keeping everyone informed and proactively sharing knowledge and expertise within the team.
* Regularly review maintenance schedules and collaborate with the engineering team to update them.
* Optimize spares holding to effective levels by conducting cycle counts and ordering/purchasing parts as needed.
* Purchasing and receiving of engineering parts and orders.
* Demonstrate commitment towards achieving department targets.
* Perform internal audits on engineering systems, support external audits.
* No direct reports; may provide cross-training and guidance to new team members.
* May supervise and lead projects, develop training.
* Closely interact with personnel at all levels within the plant.
* Contact with suppliers, external personnel, customers, and external officials.
Requirements:
* A third-level qualification in Engineering or a relevant discipline.
* Or Trade qualification plus six years plus engineering experience.
* 3rd level qualification must be coupled with 2 years relevant work experience.
* Strong IT skills are required for this position.
Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
