About the Role
This role has arisen from a company restructure, seeking a Financial Controller to oversee day-to-day finance operations and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Managing Director and contribute to strategic decision-making for the company's future direction.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a small finance department, overseeing daily financial operations.
* Design and implement effective financial processes and robust financial controls.
* Develop and prepare annual budgets, as well as financial planning and analysis to support strategic plans for all entities.
* Oversee management information preparation, manage debtor and creditor relationships, ensure tax compliance, and lead the preparation of financial statements and audit processes.
* Report to the Central Bank of Ireland and relevant authorities.
* E nsure sufficient financial controls are in place across business operations.
Requirements
* A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA) with relevant experience in the insurance sector.
* Proven knowledge of specific financial operations within the insurance sector.
* Familiarity with regulatory reporting frameworks for insurance intermediaries in Ireland.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial reporting systems.
* Strong experience in managing the preparation and audit of financial statements for a group of companies.
* An understanding of compliance and risk management frameworks.
