Job Description
The individual will be responsible for:
* Preparation and review of European Corporate Tax Returns, VAT Returns and tax assessments; as well as Corporate Income Tax Returns and VAT Returns for other local European jurisdictions.
* Preparation and review of FATCA/CRS filings
* Review of tax accruals and tax aspects of financial statement preparation.
* The person will need to coordinate with global King Street tax colleagues on European and US tax compliance and global reporting requirements as well as tax filings due.
* This person will work closely with the global accounting team as it relates to the review of the European Financial Statements from both a tax and transfer pricing perspective (e.g. assistance with designing the approach for leaving the transfer pricing margins/ review of PPL calcs, etc.), and preparing tax calculations for other foreign special purpose vehicles.
* Assist with analyzing cross-border funding structures on existing deals, including analyzing repatriation of cash tax efficiently and minimizing net wealth tax exposure as well as review of WHT returns.
* This person is expected to stay abreast on developments in the European tax legislation in terms of BEPS and ATAD.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s Degree required with a strong academic record
* 3-5 years of experience in private equity / hedge fund industry with a focus in European corporate taxation
* Fully ACCA Qualified, or equivalent certification, is required
* Experience in cross-border transactions and international tax a plus
* Experience and knowledge of transfer pricing a plus
* Experience with other European jurisdictions tax compliance a plus
* Knowledge of FATCA and CRS a plus
* Excellent organizational skills
* Ability to multi-task varying priorities and while maintaining attention to detail
* Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written)
* Strong work ethic and self-motivated
* Proficiency in Excel required
