Select Access provides compliance testing services for working at height safety equipment installed on the roofs of industrial and commercial buildings throughout Ireland. Equipment includes guard rails, fall arrest systems, access ladders and frames, Building Maintenance Units (BMUs), and roof light protection rails.
Due to our expanding workload, we are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Testing Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting tests and inspections on equipment to ensure it is compliant with safety standards and specifications. You will collaborate closely with our installation engineering team. This position requires a good understanding of testing procedures, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results efficiently.
Responsibilities:
* Perform tests on equipment in accordance with established procedures.
* Prepare testing setups and calibrate testing equipment as required.
* Assist Engineering in the initial installation of equipment.
* Document test results, discrepancies, and observations accurately.
* Analyse test data and provide detailed reports on findings.
* Collaborate with engineers and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
* Maintain and troubleshoot testing equipment, ensuring it is in optimal working condition.
* Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards during testing procedures.
* Support product development and quality assurance teams with product evaluations.
* Contribute to the creation and implementation of new testing processes and methodologies.
* Adhere to company policies and regulations related to testing and reporting.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Testing Technician or in a similar role (1–3 years preferred).
* Good knowledge of testing procedures and equipment.
* Proficiency with testing software and tools.
* Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in a testing environment.
