Machine Operative Recycling Open to Public Competition Our Recycling Business Unit currently has a need for a Machine Operative on a permanent basis.
The role will be based in BNM Recycling Rosslare and will report to the Depot Manager.
The successful candidate will be responsible to run the yard and shed efficiently and productively under the guidance of Yard Supervisor.
Role Specifics Job Title: Machine Operative Business Unit: Recycling Reporting to: Depot Manager Location: BNM Recycling Rosslare Duration: Permanent HR Contact: Ciara Ryan Eligibility: Public Competition The Role The main duties and responsibilities of the role will include the following: Ensuring efficient operation of shed/yard and conscientious maintenance of same.
This includes loading and unloading of all incoming or outgoing loads of material, either via third party or BnMR vehicles.
Safe processing of all incoming loads to maximise resource recovery.
Operating all machines as required to assist in the processing of material across the depot site.
Ensure that the yard and C&D line are kept clean and tidy at all times.
This includes gerneal the using machines and/or litter picking inside the sheds, outside areas and around the perimeter of the BNM facility.
Ensure that the C&D and waste shed is cleaned a number of times per day.
This includes litter removal from floor corners, all nooks and crannies, all girders holding up the plant, and underneath equipment other than when material falls underneath dedicate recyclate bays.
It includes machine cleaning duties as expected to be completed by machine operatives at the end of every shift.
Ensure all dust and residue is removed from the C&D and waste shed at least once per day.
This includes dust and residue residing top of all equipment, dust and residue on girders holding up equipment and the shed, dust an residue on all railings, walkways, and stairs.
Be flexible and if required, assist and support across other operative positions which include working as a banks man/reversing assistant, on the C&D picking line and use of a mechanical sweeper.
Upon obtaining the Job, a Go Contractor online assessment will be required to be carried out before Machine Operative starts his role.
This includes online Manual Handling To adhere to all Health & Safety protocols and wear PPE Gear at all times while on site, whether in the sheds or outside the sheds - H&S Manual will be given The Person The ideal candidate will possess the following qualification, skills, knowledge, and attributes.
Minimum 1-2 years experience in similar role.
Applicants must possess all relevant cards, and licenses.
FAS Safe Pass/ Manual Handling/Experience in using Loading Shovel and 360 Machine Operations exp an advantage Good Written and Verbal English essential.
Must be flexible to work across different work sections within the business.
Proficiency in the English language is a requirement alongside eligibility to work in Ireland.
