Human Resources Generalist 12 Month Contract
Our client, an international developer, manufacturer and marketer of veterinary pharmaceuticals and animal care products, is looking for a HR Generalist to join its team on an initial 12 month FTC. This role will act as the first port of call to employees and external partners for all HR related queries. As a priority, this role will handle most of the employee documentation, including contracts, recruitment paperwork and starter packs. It will also provide support to the wider department by leading the reporting and tracking, spearheading the recruitment, onboarding and offboarding processes, as well as being responsible for reconfiguring our filing system and transferring data.
Key Role Specific Requirements:
* Assist with day-to-day HR operations and ensure smooth execution of HR functions.
* Provide clerical and administrative support to the Human Resources Department.
* Compile, update, and maintain employee records (both hard and soft copies) in compliance with GDPR and data privacy regulations.
* Process documentation and prepare reports related to HR activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, etc.).
* Deal with employee queries regarding HR policies, rules, and regulations.
* Maintain and update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment laws.
* Support employee relations efforts, including investigations, disciplinary procedures, and conflict resolution.
* Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, bonuses, leave records, etc.).
* Ensure compliance with workplace health & safety policies and coordinate mandatory training.
* Support HR audits and inspections to ensure regulatory readiness.
* Lead the full recruitment process, including managing job postings, screening candidates, and organizing interviews.
* Conduct onboarding and induction programs for all new employees, ensuring alignment with company policies and industry requirements and ensure a positive candidate experience from application through onboarding.
* Organize and support employee engagement initiatives, well-being programs, and company events.
* Champion employee benefits and coordinate enrolment as needed.
* Provide first-line HR support, addressing employee queries related to benefits, policies, and workplace concerns.
* Support the performance review process, ensuring timely completion of appraisals and goal setting.
* Track and report on employee probationary periods, ensuring timely performance discussions.
* Maintain and update the HR Information System (HRIS) with accurate employee data.
* Support continuous process improvement efforts within HR, updating systems and documentation based on best practices.
* Experience in the recruitment process.
* Excellent PowerPoint and Microsoft Office skills.
* A high level of confidentiality.
* Excellent interpersonal and customer-facing skills.
* The flexibility and willingness to learn.
* Experience working with HRIS systems.
* Previous experience in a HR administration role.
