The Moxy and Residence Inn is a dual branded property opening soon in the heart of Cork City; 2 hotels operating in 1 building! Beware of the Moxy Crew - Moxy is all about creating cool, energetic, communal spaces with a “Crew” who helps guests have some fun. Being a Moxy Crew Member means more than just hooking guests up with extra towels.
As F&B Associate at the Moxy and Residence Inn, you are responsible for setting up and clearing the meal service. The meal service usually consists of a buffet during breakfast and lunch. It is your task to ensure that the buffet remains fully stocked at all times and to serve guests drinks, food or condiments upon request. After each meal service, you take care of sweeping, vacuuming and mopping the floors, as well as cleaning and sanitizing the tables and countertops.
To work safely, you always follow all food safety and health policies and licensing, as well as the instructions and checks that you must follow and perform for certain activities. Likewise, you always provide outstanding customer service and hospitality.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
1. Helping guests and creating positive experiences
2. Operate Food & Beverage outlets the Moxy way
3. Manage all bills and payments correctly
4. Prepare food, clean, tidy, restock, take deliveries and organize BOH areas
5. Follow all food safety, licensing and health and safety policies to work safely
6. Supporting other Crew Members and follow direction from Crew Leaders
7. Promote and support the Moxy brand & the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program
We’re looking for someone with Moxie, which is all of these things:
1. Have high energy and a fearless do-it-yourself attitude
2. Good with people and enjoy chatting with guests
3. Skilled multitasker who can balance hard work with great service
4. Know being relaxed isn’t the same as being lazy
5. Clear communicator fluent in English (and other languages a plus!)
Useful Experience
1. Experience in hospitality is a plus
2. Good knowledge of customer relations
3. Good communication and guest service skills and you have an eye for detail
4. Venturous, humble, helpful and approachable
5. Knowledge of Food Safety & Licensing laws
6. Personal experience of travel and travel industry
