Marketing & Engagement Specialist
Our client, a well-known public sector organisation, is seeking an ambitious and passionate Marketing & Engagement Specialist to join their team.
This role presents an opportunity to expand marketing expertise across various touchpoints and initiatives, including market research, strategic campaign planning, content creation, event management, and brand building.
The Marketing & Engagement Specialist will support the development and implementation of marketing and public relations activities across the organisation, reporting to the Senior Engagement and Marketing Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
* Market Research & Ongoing Reporting
o Conduct market research and gather insights relevant to target segments, the sector, and the broader labour market.
o Present findings to key stakeholders to inform future marketing activities.
o Track and report on marketing metrics and campaign performance data.
* Planning & Implementation
o Support the creation of marketing and engagement plans and update them as needed.
o Implement approved marketing & engagement campaigns across various platforms and assist in coordinating with media outlets.
o Maintain campaign schedules and timelines, ensuring coordination between HR and hiring managers.
o Liaise with the organisation's recruitment department to align marketing campaigns with recruitment and onboarding efforts.
o Work with 3rd party vendors and partners, such as creative and media agencies.
* Content Creation
o Develop and schedule engaging marketing content (website, social media, promotional materials, press releases, and others) that aligns with brand guidelines.
o Highlight the organisation's employer value proposition, build awareness, and increase job applications through 'thumb-stopping' marketing content adapted to various channels.
* Events & Community Engagement
o Provide operational support for events and assist in their execution.
o Deliver effective communications and engage with schools, third-level institutions, local groups, and sports organisations as part of the organisation's outreach programme.
o Execute local outreach activities to engage with target audiences.
Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field.
* Strong digital marketing skills, including social media management, email, and content creation, website CMS management.
* Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
* Strong project, time management, and prioritisation skills.
* Strong stakeholder management, ideally working with HR/Hiring Managers and Senior professionals.
* Design & video skills with the ability to create template-based visual assets using design and video tools, such as Canva, Veed.io, Capcut or similar.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
* Knowledge of marketing analytics and reporting tools.
* Previous experience in the public sector is a plus.
