About the Role
We are now looking for an EHS Specialist to join our dynamic team in Dublin, Ireland.
The successful candidate will manage the coordination of activities related to the implementation and management of Health, Safety, and environmental matters within Vertiv.
Key Responsibilities
* Implementation & management of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
* Ability to work regularly with clients, attend site meetings, and manage their EHS requirements from Vertiv.
* Completion of audits on engineers to company-specific requirements, on various client's sites throughout the UK.
* Work with our projects department to audit and advise on EHS requirements during construction works & CDM management on various sites.
* Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and corporate requirements in H&S and Environmental areas.
* Thorough investigation and reporting of accidents/near misses.
* Contribute to external accreditations.
* Develop and maintain internal audit schedule for EHS management system according to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
Additional Responsibilities within EHS
* Implementation of legal, corporate, and other requirements, standards, and processes related to H&S and Environment (EHS) in line with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
* Perform tasks related to Environmental aspect and impacts.
* Collaboration with management, identification, and implementation of preventive and corrective actions to ensure compliance with all EHS requirements to eliminate all existing or potential nonconformities from EHS internal and external audits.
* Identifying hazards and threats, evaluate the risks of injuries and health, develop, and regularly update risk analysis.
* Perform inductions for all Vertiv employees, refresher, and specific trainings for employees.
* Methodologically and continually support managers to deliver safety training to their subordinates.
* Manage accident and incident investigation, including analysis with managers, employees, and witnesses.
* Manage internal communication of measures, monitoring of the implementation of measures, and external communication to the authorities and insurance companies.
* Manage the creation and updating of internal EHS documentation.
* Collect, maintain, manage, reports, and store the data and prepares the records - in particular on accidents at work, measurements, and assessments of the working environment, waste, energy consumption, emissions, sewage quality, hazardous substances.
* Perform regular compliance audits on Vertiv facilities, focusing on compliance with legal, corporate, and specific requirements, policies, and procedures.
* Support EHS EMEA Directors with communication related to EHS EMEA-wide topics.
Requirements
* PREFERRED EDUCATION: NEBOSH Certificate.
* Professional EHS membership (IOSH) Preferred.
* CDM experience.
* 3 years' experience in the field.
* Construction, Electrical, UPS, Thermal, or Generator experience an advantage.
* MS Office – user.
* Smartsheet – advanced user advantage.
* Sharepoint – advanced user advantage.
* Leadership, working with people, communication.

* Analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making.
