Job Summary
The post holder will work within multi-disciplined Engineering teams to deliver innovative design solutions for new concepts & customisation of existing products, ensuring delivery to cost, time, quality & adherence to strict aerospace regulations and suitability for manufacturing.
Main Responsibilities
* Liaise with 3rd party vendors in support of projects.
* Support prototyping for new projects considering implications of issues such as cost, safety and time constraints.
* Create relevant documentation, such as Test Plans and Reports for electrical testing of seats.
* Support customer meetings as required.
* Provide end to end support on an electrical basis throughout the lifecycle of projects.
* Support the Engineering team to achieve key milestone dates and work with internal stakeholders to assist with production investigating, troubleshooting, and resolution of build and test issues.
* Support change management through research, concepts, design reviews, trade studies, impact analysis and implementation.
Requirements
* Hold a relevant Degree/Apprenticeship (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical engineering or a minimum of 2 years working in an engineering environment.
* Previous experience with one of the design software packages such as Auto Cad, Pro E, Solidworks, Catia etc.
* Proficient with MS Office (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interface with Customers, manufacturing, suppliers and production.
* Results driven with a can-do attitude to ensure solutions.
* Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers.
