About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Engineer to join our team. As a Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all construction projects are completed safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
* Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and procedures on site.
* Site Management: Be fully familiar with project drawings, specifications, and programme of work, ensuring accuracy in all calculations.
* Certification: Certify the transfer of design information from drawings to the site, including professional setting out for trades and subcontractors.
* Surveying: Carry out as-built surveys, valuation surveys, and commence surveys, processing figures according to QS requests and site conditions.
* Equipment Management: Control and care of all surveying equipment and instruments, maintaining calibration registers.
* Communication: Disseminate information from drawings, specifications, etc. to foremen, operatives, and subcontractors, ensuring clear understanding of requirements.
* Quality Assurance: Ensure work performed and materials used comply with drawings and specifications, completing quality documentation to the highest standard.
* Steel Requisition: Schedule steel reinforcement and other materials requisitions as required.
* Plant Control: Assist in requisitioning plant and controlling equipment on site.
* Record Keeping: Maintain daily records and upload to relevant project management software.
Requirements:
* Degree or Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering/Construction Management or similar qualification.
* Valid Safe Pass.
* At least 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably with strong setting out experience.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
* Strong understanding of key engineering elements, including site-setting out, day-to-day surveys, and as-built drawings.
* Proficient in using Topcon and Auto-cad.
* Familiarity with latest building regulations and certification standards.
* Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
