About the Plant
We have a small self-motivated team operating, administering and delivering from our Dry Ice production facility in Dublin. Safety is at the forefront of everything we do.
Responsibilities The Production Operator will report to the Production Team Leader of our Dublin production facility and to the Lead Operator for day to day matters.
Main responsibilities will include:
Work in accordance with relevant National Legislation, Company Health & Safety Policy and Nippon Gases Safety Principles.Be responsible for own health and safety and promote a positive safety culture in others.Ensure correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and work wear deemed necessary for the job or task.Maintain high standards of housekeeping within the work area.Ensure that safety related incidents, accidents, environmental breaches, hazardous conditions or near-misses are reported immediately.Understand and undertake any duties or responsibilities required under the Site Emergency Procedure (for example – Incident Controller).Participate fully and ensure targets are achieved with respect to Safety Observations and Safety Walks.Assist with the development and implementation of plant operating procedures.To receive instructions and carry out duties as delegated by the Dry Ice Plant Team Leader or Leading Operator.Operation of the Dry Ice Plant in a safe manner and in accordance with plant operating procedures.Production of quality product at maximum efficiency in accordance with plant operating procedures.To deputise for the Dry Ice Plant Leading Operator if required, taking up the full role of Leading Operator having received the appropriate training and reached the necessary level of competence.Attend department work group meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement process.Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in both personal and physical plant conditions to achieve a food safe production environment.Report any conditions likely to impact the integrity of the food safety environment.The ideal candidate should have experience in a production environment, operating process plant and packaging machinery and must have a high level of Health & Safety awareness. A fork lift truck licence and a good level of computer literacy is preferable. Flexibility within roles, working hours and working days are essential.
