We are seeking a Quality Technician to join our Dublin Quality team. As the Quality Technician, you will assist the Quality Engineering function, providing technical support in issues affecting manufacturing, supporting, and driving corrective action efforts and continuous improvements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Verify material conformance to specifications. Interpret company and industrial specifications.
2. Gather and maintain specific records of technical data related to materials, tools, fixtures, and processes used in the company.
3. Assist inspectors as first point of contact for defects and issues.
4. Collect and analyze data using statistical analysis methods.
5. Assist Quality Engineers with follow-up on the execution of Engineering Change Notice (ECN) and Corrective Action and Preventive Action (CAPA).
6. Review non-conformance material and products.
7. Support production with troubleshooting and defect resolution.
8. Ensure capability studies are performed on critical processes.
9. Perform first article inspection, review visual aids, and make updates to inspection visual aids.
10. Perform defect analysis reporting.
11. Perform line and product audits.
12. Assist Quality Engineering in the application of Advance Quality Planning (AQP).
13. Implement the Layered Process Audit (LPA) and Quick Response Quick Control (QRQC) process and monitor effectiveness.
14. Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by the supervisor.
15. Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
Minimum Requirements
1. Minimum Diploma in Quality or a related discipline. May substitute educational requirements in lieu of experience.
2. Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a Quality-related role.
3. Previous experience implementing and supporting internal audits and monitoring their effectiveness.
4. Internal applicants - Minimum level Quality Inspector III / Junior Quality Technician for at least 12 months.
5. Computer literate with intermediate/advanced MS Office skills.
6. Highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
7. Strong planning & organizational skills and attention to detail.
8. Proficiency in the English language is a requirement alongside eligibility to work in Ireland.
9. Proven ability to meet deadlines.
10. A “can do” work ethic with excellent problem-solving skills.
Desired Criteria
1. BS/BA degree in Manufacturing Technology / Mechanical Engineering / Electronics / Mechatronics.
2. Experience in an electronic manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
3. Experience in leading process improvements / lean manufacturing activities in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
