SHEQ Manager
Company Overview:
Artemis Human Capital is assisting a leading Engineering firm in recruiting an SHEQ Manager.
Your Role:
As a key team member, you will collaborate with managers and operatives to implement preventative measures, maintain rigorous quality standards, and embed a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality Management & Compliance:
* Maintain and enhance the ISO 9001 and 45001 certified Quality Management System (QMS).
* Lead internal and external audits to ensure full compliance with industry standards.
* Develop, update, and oversee quality policies, procedures, and documentation.
2. Incident & Problem Management:
* Investigate accidents, incidents, customer complaints, and non-conformances.
* Implement corrective and preventive actions, ensuring root causes are effectively addressed.
* Monitor the impact of actions taken, ensuring long-term improvements.
3. Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
* Analyse quality metrics and trends to identify opportunities for enhancement.
* Prepare and present quality performance reports to senior management.
4. Collaboration & Culture Building:
* Work closely with production, design, and management teams to align quality objectives.
* Provide training and guidance to staff on quality best practices.
* Act as the key liaison for customers and suppliers on quality-related matters.
5. Continuous Improvement & Efficiency:
* Lead initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
* Champion a culture of quality awareness and accountability at all levels.
Requirements:
* Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
* Proven experience as a SHEQ Manager (or similar) in a manufacturing environment; sheet metal fabrication experience is a plus.
* Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and 45001 standards.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis, FMEA, and SPC.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
* Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a drive for continuous improvement.
* Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Proficiency in MS Office and quality management tools.
