Wills Bros are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented person to join our team in our Technical Bid Office, in Kiltimagh, Co.Mayo. A qualification in Civil Engineering is required (or a qualification in a related field).
This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a high performing team, to prepare technical proposals relating for a diverse range of construction projects. The successful candidate will assist in preparing technical bids, ensuring our proposals are competitive, comprehensive, and aligned with client requirements. We will consider applicants with good academic results and/or relevant industry experience.
Recent graduates or early-career professionals will be considered, and this role would offer the opportunity to develop skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Reporting to the Technical Bid Director, you will assist in the design coordination, planning, and technical support for the execution of civil engineering / construction projects.
* Prepare technical responses, drawings, and other documentation.
* Collaborate with senior engineers, internal departments, external supply-chain partners and specialists to gather necessary information for bid submissions.
* Write relevant elements to support bid preparation within specialist area of expertise.
* Conduct research on industry standards, materials, methods and innovations to support bid proposals.
* Assist in the development of project timelines, budgets, and resource plans.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation for all bid-related activities.
* Undertake compliance reviews for relevant requirements, specifications, regulations and standards.
* Participate in site visits and meetings to gain a thorough understanding of project requirements.
Key Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a qualification in a related field.
* Knowledge of AutoCAD or other engineering design software.
* Some experience or internships in a civil engineering / built environment.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Keen attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
