The Centre is a mainstream residential Centre for young people aged 13 to 17 on admission.
Job Description:
We are seeking an exceptional Deputy Manager to support the Centre Manager in the operational and strategic management of our residential care services. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of child welfare and protection principles.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership and Team Management: Oversee daily operations, motivate team members, and promote a positive work environment.
* Policy Implementation and Governance: Ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures, and contribute to the development of new policies as needed.
* Care and Wellbeing of Young People: Foster a culture of respect, empathy, and inclusivity, ensuring the physical, emotional, and psychological needs of young people are met.
* Safeguarding and Child Protection: Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding practices, recognizing and reporting any concerns or incidents promptly.
* Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development, staying updated on best practices and research in the field of residential care.
* Operational Oversight: Manage resources effectively, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate records.
Requirements:
* Social Care/Nursing/ID Qualifications: QQI Level 7
* Experience working with Children: Minimum 3 years
