The ASI is currently recruiting a Communications & Relationship Manager to be based in National Office, Temple Road, Blackrock, Co Dublin / hybrid who will report to the Head of Advocacy, Research and Public Affairs.
The Communications & Relationship Manager is a key member of the Advocacy, Research & Public Affairs team and will lead a busy team, proactively manage all internal and external stakeholders, and will be responsible for all national communications projects, events, campaigns and related policies.
The Communications & Relationship Manager is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with all external and internal stakeholders within The ASI and will aim to ensure stakeholder satisfaction by understanding their needs, preferences, and concerns.
The successful candidate will develop strategic communications, ensure a positive relationship with the stakeholders and drive growth of communications across the organisation.
In addition, they will collaborate across all departments to find areas for improvement based on feedback and trends.
Prior experience in strategic development of communications, devising media and social media policies, driving internal and external stakeholder engagement and working on national communications projects, events and campaigns would be an advantage.
Salary will be commensurate with the care sector.
This is a full-time (35 hours per week) permanent position.

Main Duties and Responsibilities: Manage and develop a busy communications team Coordinating, cultivating, devising and managing events and launches Proactively lead all internal and external stakeholders, including members of the media Responsible for all national communications projects, events and campaigns Build and maintain close relationships and ensure stakeholder satisfaction by understanding their needs, preferences, and concerns Development and implementation of strategic communications and policies in conjunction with head of department Working closely with internal teams and departments to ensure alignment in messaging and brand to achieve their goals Driving growth of communications across the organisation Collaborate across all departments within the ASI Oversight and management of written materials to show alignment across organisation Leading out planning and execution of major events including in-house and external events, launches and conferences Responsible for leading out on all internal written and verbal online communications including presentations and webinars to large groups Strategic vision to provide standardised communications across the whole organisation Ability to advise, offer guidance and support to colleagues, senior management team and CEO office with communications, both verbal and written Responsible for the direction and opportunities in traditional and digital media Actively establish and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, advocates, the CEO office and senior management.

PERSON SPECIFICATION: Knowledge/Experience: At least 6 years of experience in senior strategic communications roles, public relations, and customer relations or a related field.
Ability to devise, coordinate, and manage national launches and events Excellent analytical skills and can analyse data and market trends to identify business opportunities and make informed decisions.
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients, demonstrate empathy and manage conflicts effectively.
Display a flexible working approach and solution-focused attitude.
Skills/Competencies: Proven experience of negotiating with senior stakeholders both internal and external including senior management, CEO office and Board of Directors Experience in contributing communications expertise to the development of wider organisational strategies, policies and plans Proven ability to present to large audiences in a fluent and engaging manner Flexibility in building relationships Pro-active approach in working with stakeholders Proven experience in devising, leading and managing national events, campaigns and launches Experience working well within a team Problem-solving abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Aptitude for fostering positive relationships Teamwork and leadership skills Other Requirements: Strong interpersonal, problem-solving and negotiation skills.
