Senior Process Enginee Contract Duration/Type: Permanent Location: Kilkenny Overview of the role: A multi-disciplined Senior Engineer with particular focus on commissioning activities but who may also be involved in other aspects of VWI projects including but not limited to tendering, design, procurement, design co-ordination, supervision, project engineering, site installation, developing sales opportunities, and operational support. The main role of the Senior Process Engineer is to ensure that new installations are successfully commissioned and operations and optimised to provide the level of treatment required in line with the design requirements. The Process Engineer will form an integral part of the project team, interacting with other engineering disciplines, with direct responsibility for start-up and bringing online of treatment process units and systems. The Senior Process Engineer will also be responsible for the development of commissioning plans and coordinating commissioning activities. The role will have responsibility for ensuring that all work is carried out accurately within defined constraints, such as time and budget, and with due diligence. It is expected that Senior Process Engineer will be self-sustaining, requiring minimal management. When working in design, or project engineering you will report directly to the Process Commissioning Lead or appointed delegate. Duties of the Role include: Planning and coordination of commissioning activities including the preparation of commissioning plans in line with VWI and client requirements Completion of site commissioning and process unit start up activities Optimisation of process units and operational set points Completion of on site lab analysis as required to complete commissioning activities Coordination of commissioning activities and site personnel Completion of commissioning and process proving reports for client submission Review of design documentation and provision of feedback throughout the design development process Organising, planning and prioritising your own work, and that of resources delegated to you Effective supervision, guidance, training and mentoring of delegated resources and junior staff such as engineers, sub-contractors, site staff Understanding and ensuring compliance with Clients Specifications, User Requirement Specifications, Health and Safety Requirements, Company Quality requirements, Company Policy, legislation, design standards and good engineering practice, Supporting and assisting project managers, project engineering and direct involvement in site activities Act as a source of process knowledge to other areas of the business and provide technical assistance and direction to other areas as required Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with the Company's performance management system and the company's quality management system, health and safety rule, legislation and relevant environmental standards; Undertake duties of a general nature that may be required by your manager, Required skills for this role: Strong Process, Engineering and Technical Capability with attention to detail, Expertise and knowledge of Water and Wastewater Treatment Engineering, Strong Problem solving skills, Numerate and highly computer literate, Effective Time Management and Communication skills, Self-sustaining engineer with ability to effectively work as part of a team, & Customer Focused. Degree in Process Engineering or equivalent experience relevant to water and wastewater engineering, Experience in construction environment and applicable water and wastewater engineering projects, 10 years+ applicable experience within a similar role.
