Job Overview:
Our client is seeking a Qualified Steel Fabricator to join their team. You will play a crucial role in their workshop, where they design and produce custom lifting equipment tailored to their clients' specific needs. Your expertise in fabrication and welding will be essential to ensure the production of safe and reliable equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Fabricate and assemble various components and structures using materials such as steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
2. Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to accurately produce components to specification.
3. Use cutting, welding, and bending equipment to shape and join materials.
4. Perform MIG and TIG welding to join metal parts, ensuring high-quality welds.
5. Conduct visual inspections of welds to maintain quality standards.
6. Safely handle welding equipment and follow safety protocols.
7. Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and client specifications.
8. Identify and rectify any defects or issues in the fabrication process.
9. Maintain accurate records of materials used and work performed.
Requirements:
1. Qualified fabricator with a relevant trade qualification or apprenticeship.
2. Strong experience in fabrication and welding, preferably in a workshop setting.
3. Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
4. Familiarity with welding techniques, including MIG and TIG.
5. Knowledge of materials such as steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
6. Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
