Team/Role Overview: The position's objective will be to play a key role to establish the Controls framework, and provide ongoing controls oversight and support, monitoring of the related key risk indicators and reporting, for the newly created global controls function for TTS Operations Global Regulatory Reporting, as well as ensuring adherence to all relevant policies and standards.
Job Background/context: TTS Ops Regulatory Reporting Controls is part of the broader team within TTS Operations Controls that supports TTS Ops Global Regulatory Reporting, Global Reconciliations and Middle East & Africa Ops Controls.
The team was established following the creation of a new global Ops functional group dedicated to bringing together all regulatory reporting activities across TTS Ops globally.
What you will do: Build adequate controls monitoring, review to evaluate effectiveness of underlying controls. Strong focus on data analytics and system retrievals.Reviews of reported data and presentation and communication on key trends and themesUnderstand key risks within the Business and operational processes relating to TTS Operations Regulatory Reporting.Support the conduct of in-depth analysis of data & exceptions to identify trends and emerging risks. Work in partnership with stakeholders to drive corrective action.Support the establishment of MCA for the newly established Global Assessment Unit for TTS Ops Regulatory ReportingOngoing governance, oversight for MCA and manage ownership for all MCA reportingEnsure relevant people are aware and well trained on risks and controls, based on corporate standards as they are released/ modified.Monthly Ops Controls MIS decks, data analysis reports to be prepared and shared, capturing any issues, themes, exceptions.Be fully up to date and familiar with relevant Citi Policies and standardsWork closely with the TTS Ops functional/line of business controls teams on cluster/global initiatives/projects.Monitor progress on all TTS Ops audits and regulatory reviews impacting Regulatory Reporting, share findings & themes issued with all stakeholders to enhance reg reporting processes & control, to avoid occurrence of similar issues.Maintain focus and reporting on open Issues and Corrective Action Plans owned within TTS Ops Regulatory Reporting and monitor to closure, and support issue ownersSupport the team in its work with Reg Reporting Ops / Business partners on implementation of operational policies & guidelines, MCA standardsEnsure adherence to the TTS Operations ORE Procedures, ORM Internal Loss Capture Reporting Central and Citi Escalation Policy/Standards in terms of booking, root cause analysis and reporting of loss events, ensure adherence to reporting requirements for Near Miss eventsParticipate in the performance of any other ad-hoc process reviews, reporting, monitoring, tasks as warranted by business requirements.What we will need from you: Good knowledge of TTS products/operationsKnowledge of applicable Operational Policies / procedures / Control StandardsExtensive relevant experienceAbility to propose effective and practical solutions.Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact and negotiate successfully at a senior levelPreferable experience in Audit, Compliance, Controls or other relevant/operations support functionsEnglish language proficiency required (written and verbal).Ability to collaborate with and lead others to achieve objectivesAnalytical inquisitiveness and problem solving, ability to ask insightful questions, work through complexity and identify issues/exceptions clearlyGood at brainstorming.
