Job Description
The role is to control the preparation of revenue and capital estimates, enabling the agreement of spending plans. This includes ensuring accounting standards are adhered to, setting policies and procedures, and providing financial guidance to all levels of management.
Key Responsibilities
* Calculate the financial impact of capital programmes on rates and the long-term financial strategy.
* Conduct financial planning and investment appraisal exercises.
* Maintain and develop ledgers to enhance efficiency.
* Ensure management accounting practices and procedures comply with current legislative requirements.
* Develop, review, and report on performance measures for new and existing staff in line with good accounting practices.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have a degree or qualification in a relevant discipline, such as finance or accountancy. Additionally, you must be a member of a CCAB-recognised body or demonstrate at least 4 years' relevant experience. It is also desirable to have public sector experience.
